Ok, I have decided(for now atleast) to leave my new MM16 BS upstairs in the garage. I planned on hooking it up to my big DC downstairs in the shop. Anyways, I would like to run a dedicated small dc on the BS and wondered how the little portables would work? Looking at the lil' Penn State with the 1 micron bag, but any input on others is appreciated! http://www.forums.woodnet.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yellowyes.gif

Due to the nature of the band saw as a tool, it's one of the more difficult machines to collect from. More air flow is better, so while accommodating your need for "compact", don't skimp on CFM. (Figure half the usual published "free air" CFM from the manufacturer when actually connected to your saw) More air flow is better. More air flow is better...I think you catch my drift!
