Amazon says in stock soon. The exaktor site is $50 more than the Amazon site, which isn't exactly cheap. Does anyone know where else I can find one? Google searches have not turned up anything other than Amazon and Exaktor.

You do know that Exactor and Excalibur are NOT the same. I have and Exactor overarm blade guard and sliding table. I like them and use them both all the time. I especially like the blade guard.

I use the brace just to take some of the load. It is not necessary. Also I extended the arm as my table is longer that a 50" fence.

I bought the Exalibur, and here is my feeling: if your saw requires mobility, get it; but if your saw is for the most part static, I would build it and hang it from the cieling. As it turns out, I will be building one (for the 4inch dust hose) and hanging it from my cieling.

I bought my Excalibur guard locally - from Woodworkers Source. This page shows the dealer network:

I like the way the new model Excalibur swings out of the way for operations where the guard cannot be used.

The Exactor swings aside, too. Loosen one knob and push it ti the rear.

Tom, there are several places in Houston that carry it. Circle Saw, Woodcraft and a few more from a post above. You should be able to pick it up at one of them, and they will probably meet the Amazon price I would bet.

Here is another link for maybe some helpful hints with installation. Their installation help is marginal at best. I love the product though and wouldn't be without it. Several others supplied their pictures too.

Thanks for all the help. I've never even heard of circle saw before.

For some reason I was thinking that Exaktor was the company and Excalibur was the product, I don't know where that came from.

They are on Ella, just a couple of blocks south of 610. I've used them to have my planer blades sharpened.
