OK, it's not Mayo or Mustard but I think it will serve my needs. It is of course the Delta 1642. Gives me 16" swing, with the VS drive 0 to 3200 rpm along with reverse. I'm waiting on thread adaptors for my chucks so I can turn some bowls. Can't wait to give it a real spin ! Thanks for looking.
(sorry for poor photo)

Great Gloat-----we still use our Delta all the time. Just think if you need service they are in Tenn. not china. Service is a real big deal for me.

Good, solid, heavy duty looking hunk of lathe Keith. Will probably turn more wood than you can turn in a lifetime.

There is a used one in Portsmouth, NH for $699 if you are interested. The phone number is in the EBAY listing. It did not sell and they called me last week and still had it.

The only thing I see wrong with that picture is that there are NO chips on the lathe!

Otherwise.............................Great Gloat!

Normally, I would agree with everyone else and say, "Way too clean!"

But since it's Keith Burns we're talking about here, I'd just as soon have everything stay nice and clean.

That way my inferiority complex issues won't have to suffer further since he won't have anything to post.

Well guys, thanks for the comments. I haven't had time to turn anything yet but this weekend, one way or another, I am going to spin something and get it dirty ! Hopefully Monday I'll be able to post a short review of the lathe.

Ken, it was a Rockwell/Delta 46-450 Variable Speed, 12" x 36". A great lathe by the way.
