Need info on bowl gouges. I have been told what i need is a 3/8" bowl
gouge. I have several spindle tools and plan to make my own handles so
what i need are the tools without handles. Any info would be helpful.
Thanks, Byron

You might want to look at P&N then. I bought a 3/8" and a 1/2". Came unhanded and so far I am pretty well pleased with them.

Bryon I posted to your other post on turning tools. I did like Jeff did and got the 3/8" and 1/2" P & N with the traditional grind on them. I made my own handles for them. I use these as my last cut in my bowls for a clean cut. I learned this from Mike Mahoney who's VHS tape I got on bowl turning. They do work pretty slick. You might check your other post.

Byron, Try woodturnerscatalog.com. They sell tools handled and unhandled.
