Not usually my style, but these were too good to pass up. I just scored 5 oversize wooden pallets. They were under 'rollers' which my truckers carry to help unload their freight. We got an entire trailer load for the account, and have handed out enough that we had 5 of these 8' long 4' wide pallets taking up space in our storage trailer. I got permission from my site mgr, and then the transport manager and loss prevention guy to take them out of the very secure yard here at work.
Each one is built of 4 8' 2x4's, with 6 or 8 2x3 cross pieces top AND bottom. Can you say 'sturdy'? thought you could. Best of all, they have had minimal 'wear', coming from the roller mgf to our yard in one trip.
I just have to disassemble them and I'll have a nice start on my shop needs, if not the shop itself, the inevitable 'extra' stuff inside it.
ie, tonight I'm going to make a couple of racks out of them for my storage unit. Might not even take them apart.
