I've not seen so many big red ants:eek: as when this tree was opened up. I do believe they were having a turners convention and serving ice cream. I thought I saw one that looked like Steve's version of Andy:p , but then it could have been these old eyes playing tricks. Anyway, from the hords of ants came a little leftover piece of wood that became a cup.:) Deft finish after going through the grits. Couldn't get away from the little things last week!

The opening is 2 1/4" X 2 1/4". At the lip it is less than 1/16" and tapers towards the bottom to about 1/8".

Actually, Ernie has privileges since he was so kind and generous. Besides, I did spend eleven years in Oklahoma City prior to Coming to Texas.:cool:

very nice turning! Can't wait to have a lathe someday, then I can raid the woodpile too!

Great job on the cup!! Forget the Gunfight the real threat is when the Sooners and Longhorns but heads!
