Haven't been able to turn for about a month. Finally got back to the shop. This is a redheart HF with an ebony collar. About 6" dia. x 2" tall. Finished with wipe on gel poly and buffed. Please give me you honest opinion as I'm not sure. Thanks for looking.

Let's see, are there any adjectives I have used lately to describe a thing of beauty....I don't think I have used spendiferous in the last week or two. Come to think of it I haven't used delectable lately either. Both describe this piece of work!:D

That's a beauty Keith. That color change on the edge of the wood really adds to it too. Very nice.

Sorry Keith, I got to disagree with this lot, I think it is really awful, and you should send it to me for destruction right away............. (my wife has a B-day soon)........... ;) :D

Seriously, that sure is nice, love the look, the wood, the finish........

Gonna have to get me some HF tools, or make some!!

Cheers!

I like the way this form shows off the wood. Overall, I think it is a beautiful piece. I personally prefer a gentler curve on the top, but I think you've done a great job (better than I could hope to do) with showing off the form and wood, Kieth.

Thank you all for your kind comments. John, I glued the collar in a recess so I could turn it smooth with the top, no lip.
