I just found 1-1/4" swivel casters at Walmart for $1.98 a peice, fixed casters at $1.48. They are rated at 90lbs each which could work well for small shop cabinets.

Theres usually only a few so I had to go to 3 different Walmarts to get 8 of them.

They are in the hardware section near the hooks and cabinet pulls.

That cuts down on the probability of me finding any.:) Which Wally's did you visit?

Northern has 3in casters for 1.79. 1-1/4 will drive you nuts IMHO. they won't roll over anything. I like 4 and 5 inch. I don't sweep much :)

I found them at the Dale Mabry store near Waters and the Oldsmar Wally.

I agree with Dave. I built a shop cart and put those smaller casters on it. They drove me friggin' nuts! With a little weight on them, they a) won't roll over anything and b) they won't swivel very well so it was impossible to turn the cart.

I went to Harbor Freight and found big 3" rubber casters and put those on my cart. Now I'm a happy camper. I got them for about $1.50 a piece.

Strange, I have them on the cabinet my 12" BP sits on and it rolls just fine, even with the small 1-1/4" castor. If youre talking about HF 1-1/4" casters I am not surprised. I guess quality is different.

HF isnt an option for me. I wont buy from them any longer.

Actually, the smaller ones I think I got at Home Depot. They were total junk.
