First try at a wedding plate. Quarter sawn Sycamore with Bubinga "stripes". At least 12 coats lacquer, buffed with "The System" ie; Tripoli, White diamond, Carnuba wax. Helpfull comments/recomendations please.
Thanks in advance

Lovely platter there, Ernie. Don't know that I'd change a thing.

That is a beautiful heirloom! Really nice wood choices as well. The only thin to change for the next one is the names and date!

I think it looks great Ernie! They are sure to love it. If you are looking for a change, maybe you could keep the lip edge horizontal, then slope in toward the center rather than cutting straight down. But that's not a criticism...just a design option.:)

Thank you all so much for the comments.
John, think you are right, slope toward center but bottom still needs a flat spot for the laser engraving, I think. However, a "rounded transition" would be preferable to the sharp edge.
Again guys, really appreciate the comments.
Thank you
Ernie

Hey Ernie, I'm thinking the bride & groom will be most happy with that plate and will certainly cherish it for many years to come! Well done! :)
