Another of the blanks from Bill Grumbine, 3-1/4"x1-3/4":

It made a strong bid for funnelhood, resulting in the bloodwood plug in the bottom, courtesy of Mr. Laser. (Lesson learned: the centering hole for the waste block doesn't need to be that deep.)

Yup...that's pretty. The wood looks just like a spalted maple tree that I scrounged from a neighbor a couple years ago. Alas...that was before I knew what a lathe was for.:o

You sure have the form down nicely Lee.:)

Good save, Lee. I sure wish I had thought of that kind of a save technique. It sure would have reduced the funnels I have hanging from the rafters...;)
