Here are the first two goblets that I have made. They are both 2 1/4" wide, one is 6" tall and the other is 6 1/2" tall. They are cherry and finished with Deft spray lacquer. The bowl is from the same log as the goblets and is about 1/4" thick. It is finished with three coats of BLO and buffed. Oh, it is 4 1/2" by 5 1/4".

Excellent work Tom, they look just great. And that natural edge bowl looks real nice!

Cool set Tom! They deserve a corner of their own in the house somewhere. :)

Very nice pieces, Tom. Did you use a faceplate or a chuck?

Thanks again guys, and Henry I used my Talon chuck for all three of them. I find using the chuck is more to my liking than the faceplate.

Thanks for the info, Tom.

Great... I've had my lathe for only a week and I'm already trying to figure out how much I can spend on a chuck... :P

Lovin' the Vortex! :)
