I have been using a cheap pipe lathe for several years and a couple years ago purchased a new jwl-1236 jet lathe and a VEGA 36'' duplicator. I have used the duplicator on the front side and cannot use the lathe only. I know you can put it on the back side and turn the cutter upside down and use both. When I did this the cutter will not cover the 7 inches at the live arbor or motor end, also you line the cutter up with the live end the then the dead end and I can`t get close enough to line it on the live end. I suppose you could leave a extra 7 inches on my stock but will still have a problem lineing it up. Any help out there. Thanks barry bruner
