I called them earlier to see if they would apply the discount to a Turbinair HVLP setup. I told him i didn't consider it a "power tool". No Joy :(

Surfing the Lie-Nelson page right now.... :D

I wonder if the power tool exclusion applies to bandsaw blades. I wouldn't think so, doesn't have a motor. Highland Hardware also has some pretty spiffy hand tools, Lie Nielsen, Starret etc. Hmmm.... Somebody might want to alert the Neanders.

When i called, they told me anything with a power cord was a power tool. Accessories qualify for the discount

Yup - I surfed myself right into a LN Bronze Beading Plane. Kind of hard to pass up at 20% off.

I was thinking of buying a LN plane, also, with this deal. But when I compared the final price to the everyday price from Fine Tool Journal it wasn't that good. FTJ throws in free shipping with a LN order. Example: A LN 60 1/2 block plane is $150 at Highland Hardware (HH) and $135 at FTJ. The 20% off gives $120 at HH but then you have to pay shipping which is about $12 to me. So I'm comparing $132 to $135 and decided to wait.

For someone who lives in or close to Atlanta, it's a good deal.

Did you ask if they'd cut the cord off?

I was looking at the 164 low angle smoother for $235 at Highland ($188 with discount + $12 shipping = $200. It's $215 from FTJ. I guess that's not as great a deal as it sounds like but ..... Thanks for pointing me that website Mike!!!!

I ordered a LN #8. Big difference in price 393.00 (including shipping) at HH with the discount vs. 435.00 at FTJ. Guess it depends on the plane.
