Giant birdseye Maple burl update

Hello folks:
I haven't been on this webpage for some time but thought I'd show a few pictures of the burl. I now have it protected in a burl shack that was built by a friend. It's drying out nicely and I've been sanding the outside and applying a 50-50 mixture of turpintine and linseed oil. I won't post my website on here because last time I did that my post got deleted.

Oy. If you don't know the scale, some of the photos on the website look disturbingly, uh, anatomical. :eek: :eek:

Somebody is going to have a lot of fun with this stuff...presumably somebody with a lathe a lot bigger than mine.:D :cool: :p
