I've done this before and written about it before but...This AM, I applied the BLO to the cherry project I've been working on the past few months. WOW!! Again, I'm amazed at the magic the oil does to the sanded cherry. Grain pops out and you feel you're immersed in the wood. Truly magical ..WOW! Another of the reasons I enjoy WWing!! OK, Jerry go back to your cage.:D Well, now let it dry and mix up a batch of shellac flakes and get ready to pad. Plan to topcoat w P&L #38. Pics will follow soon. Patience. I have to cover up my mistakes:) :D

Jerry, LOML usually only has a passing interest in my woodworking endeavors, but she'll go out of her way to see the oil hit a freshly-sanded piece of wood. (Curly maple cutting boards and mineral oil are the most common here.) It never fails to amaze me when I see the magic transformation from 2D to 3D.

My personal favorite, and I'm being biased here, is when the oil hits super curly Koa. It's enough to make me see cross-eyed :D
