Off Kilter box. Nothing plumb or level. Base is Box Elder burl with a little natural edge, first knob is oak, next piece is apple, then sycamore, then chinese elm. Box is black walnut, finial is cocobolo.

Very nice piece Curt, fine use of different woods they all seem to compliment one another.

That is a terrific little box, and what a novel way to support it! Kinda’ roundabout, I guess, …ahh, that’s right, you’re a turner.:eek: :)

Now your challenge, should you accept it, is to make all those joints articulating. :p :D

My wife wouldn't like it at all. She'd have to look for the top all the time.
