Being able to turn the head stock to 22.5 degrees is such a help!!

Well, what do you think?

Red Keyaki sanded to #400 then waxed and buffed.

Oh good God...There's just no stoppin' him now!!! I can just hear it now:..."But Honey, I could just do so much more with that Stubby!!!" :D Great job, Stu! Looks like you're a natural with this spinny stuff. Guess you spent a whole lot of time redoing that flat-work equipment for nuthin'! :D OTOH, it's now worth more than what you gave for it, so you can sell it off and get more spinny stuff tools! :D Great job, man! :)

Wow, a guy gets a few hours sleep, goes out and does some deliveries, and comes back to a bunch of replies :D

Yep, that DVR just simply rocks, I cannot believe how well it works, man alive what a machine! :D

As for the flatwork, lots of that will still get done, as I've got a list longer than my arm, but the fun thing is that some of it I'll be able to spice up with some spinny stuff, and when I get bored or frustrated, I can just head to the lathe to relax :)

Next I've got to build a torsion box base for the C-man, and then move the DVR over to the lathe stand, right now, I'm making a BIG mess in the whole shop!

Cheers!

I agree with Tom, but I think the number of STANDING trees in Tokyo will DECREASE rapidly as well!!:D :D

Great job Stu - beautiful wood, shape, finish. Score.

Thanks guys!

I learn from the best, and that means everyone here, and especially, Mr. Bill Grumbine's fine DVD..........hey Bill, when is the next one coming out?

Cheers!

PS, I've been scooter wrassling all freaking day, stupid scooter that I use for deliveries around the hood has a clogged up muffler, and I had to take it off, and do the easy off oven cleaner bit, then flush it with water, heat if up to get rid of the water, then put it back on the scooter.

Why not buy a new muffler........?

They want $400 for it

Thus No DVR today............ yet........

Tomorrow off to a Rodan exibit.

Thanks guys, don't worry, there is lots of room to improve :o

This is the first bowl off the DVR and now it is the first one given away to outside the family.

A good buddy and his wife and kids are in town from the US, we went to the Rodin exhibit together, I gave his wife the bowl, she was thrilled, an I gave him a pen made out of blue Keyaki, he as thrilled too.

Cheers!
