I just saw this on another forum and provided the following link:

Thanks for posting that link. I haven't turned enough yet to just be able to look at the piece of wood and know what the grain pattern will look like.

Saved it and printed it. That will be handy once I start cutting my own blanks, once I start turning, once I get my lathe set up...

Hey Dave,
It is a great handout that we used at a club demo in late 2004 (North Florida Woodturners). Supposedly from Todd Hoyer, but I cannot substantiate that.
