Here are some pic's of gent named Steve Hopkins and his gas (really propane) powered lathe. It's a slick item in that he powers it with a oil pull engine running on propane.. This was taken @ Johnson's Workbench - Charlotte, MI Wood Expo 2003..<hr>

Spent about 3 bills on wood for my son's Futon project .. 1.57bf$ for poplar (figured it was good to learn on)... plus 2 sheets of good birch ply for the base under the mattress.. had a good time!
