My wife wants a couple of night stands, so I grabbed a few of the larger cedar boards I have, cut them on the TS, measured and marked and cut bisquit slots with my PC557 plate joiner. Some glue and clamps and the beginnings of the stands will be on the way. These will be all "Scrap" construction, so we'll just have to see what I can put together...:o

This is the second stand top...

This is the first top, glued yesterday...

Looks like a great start. I've done without a plate joiner so far but read two different reviews singing the 557's praises. I think I've got the bug. How do you like it and did you run into any of the Type 1, Type 2, Type 3 troubles following the DeWalt copyright suit?

TIA!

Thanks, glenn. I got it when Amazon had them on sale for $159 - $30 PC rebate, plus 1,000 free bisquits and free shipping. I've used it to but together a couple of pieces and I like it. It's not nearly as hard to use as I thought before I got it, but I'm still learning. (I also have the Kreg pocket hole jig)

I'm not familiar with the 3 Types and the DeWalt problem... What was it about?
