A friend of mine has a son in college who developed a sudden brain infection and slipped into a coma. It had been over a week the last I knew and the prognosis isn't good. His son and family could sure use some prayers.

The friend is a wwer too....he parleyed his hobby into some extra money over the past couple of decades, then took it to the next level and has gone completely pro in the last 2 years. He was so happy standing there in his shop the last few times I saw him before this incident. I hate to bug him for updates, but if I hear anything I'll update this post.

TIA...

Count me in on the prayers Scott. Besides, he can use the prayers and I can use the practice.

Ditto on the prayers. I've been doing a lot more of that lately myself. We lose faith, we lose hope.

As always, prayers being sent, and some good 'ole Texas Setter zen is winging it's way to this family. Please let your friend know that we care, and are pulling for a miracle. Jim.

I'm in... glad to join in prayer... Scott, will be praying for you, too, that you will continue to be a help and support to your friend during this rough time.

Scott,
Of course I don't know the details of the situation, but I think he might appreciate your telling him that you have "a whole bunch of friends" praying for him as well. One of the things that I hear hospital patients say that holds a lot of meaning for them is the fact that they have people praying for them. And personally, it has held great meaning for me during difficult times as well. Just a thought.

I didn't catch this request earlier, sorry. I will add my thought and prayers as well. Prayers from the creek have been known to work.

Sorry to hear about your friend Scott. I hope he gets better real soon. We tend to take life for granted sometimes until something like this happens to you. I have a young son and I can't imagine how I would be if something like this happened to him. Next time you talk to your friend, give him our best from the Creek.

Scott, I'm a newby to SawMill Creek ... I am happy to add you and your friend's son as well as him to my daily prayers ... I've been a Methodist Pastor for over 30 years and a wwkr for longer than that ... both have brought me peace and joy.
