ShopFox Shaper question

I bought a used 2 hp ShopFox shaper that was in pristine condition, looked like it had hardly ever been used.
My question is- The spindle height want to creep down while the motor is running. I tightend the spindle lock knob but the spindle still moves. Anybody else have this problem?? Any solutions??

Don't have that model, but sounds like the lock isn't going against the shaft assembly.
See if you can unscrew the lock shaft and peek in there
