I posted pics of this in the rough in case something happened to it. I was unsure it would survive the final turning. It did and I did. I have a couple of smaller versions of it left to do and that will probably be the end of these for me. Interesting to taste but not for steady diet. Ambrosia maple...5 1/2 inches tall x 8 1/2 inches wide with a 4 1/2 inch opening. Probably 1/4 inch walls.........The outside bottom is rounded but the inside for some reason I made flat...Looks a bit odd to me and not sure if I like it. Thanks for looking.........doug

Pretty cool Doug! Ya know...that would look really nice with Swedish Ivy or Phellodendron growing out of it!:)

Looks great Doug. Reminds me of one of the forerunners I did before I found this (http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e318/AndyHoyt944/tlm02.jpg)hiding in a chunk of cherry.

Doug, that's a really nice bowl. I don't think I'd have the guts to try something like that---but then again, I also am not sure I can even turn a normal bowl yet!

John, Ivy might accent the piece, but since my wife claimed it , I have no say.
Andy, I love your bowl...Tried a couple years ago without success. Graceful curves.
Henry, just have fun. If you ruin a piece of firewood, you just have smaller firewood and some shavings.
Thanks Frank, Christopher,Ernie and Corey for the kind words.
