HF collared Vahse, no I am not copying Dick...

Strange how ideas come along. Dick posted a really nice HF very similar to this yesterday and I was working on this at the time. Even more spooky is the fact that the vahse is made from a piece of spalted poplar that Dick gave me! Too freekish. You'll notice the light "ring" around the collar where the BLO didn't take. The piece is about 9" tall and walls are about 3/8" thick. Suggestions welcome.

Yes, that would be a glue line. Oh well, I learned from my first collared piece that I should tennon the collar and put it on last...

Gorgeous vahse, Chris! I love the shape, the wood and the collar. :) Super job on the finish, as well. As for "suggestions", only one: Carefully pack it in bubble wrap, then brown paper, put it in an appropriately sized box and send it on over!!!
