Would a reasonably sane person trade a relatively new Delta 52-580 lunchbox planer for a 1989 Bridgewood 15" open stand planer - even up? The Bridgewood has been owned by an engineer since new and only used in a hobby shop. It actually looks, and sounds as new. I have the opportunity to do the deal, but have never used anything but a portable planer.

Thanks, Jim

The deal has been done, I kinda thought that would be the consensus, but I sorta got cold feet. My Delta 52-580 has done an outstanding job on the three projects I've used it on, I can only hope the Bridgewood performs as well. Thanks for all your inputs, they were valuable in helping me make my decision.

Thanks, Jim

Jim,
