Jeff, your draw is :Black Walnut
this is just a straight grained piece of Black Walnut
from a neighbor's yard at 11" x 11" x 4".
(See Pic) From Ernie Nyvall

Jeff, you may keep this wood or steal from the previous blanks revealed. Tell us what you want to do. (Stealing means you can switch your draw for anyone elses that has been revealed. Once a drawn blank has been stolen 3 times it can not be stolen again.) The number before the name is the number of times stolen.

Well, the scenic KudzuPatch has an abundance of Walnut (and Kudzu). Matter of fact that was what I almost offered up for this little party were having. Plus if you read my previous post looks like I am about to have an over abundance of walnut. So I must steal something. Now which one??

There are several tempting pieces.

Stu's Sakurais most interesting for sure and very tempting.

I have never had the chance to do anything with Mesquite either.

We don't have much cherry around here so that is very unusual and I suspect totally different than the black Cherry we have.

Ash and aspen? Not in the deep south!

But there is one piece that stands out about the others to me. It's color is just so unique and has fascinated from the time I first saw it. So after much debate an consideration (thats a lie) I grab the sugar maple and run; while apologizing to whom ever I just stole from.

Well, all is fair in love and turning...I suppose. And so My choice is to receive the Walnut that you pass on Jeff. I have not yet turned any and will look forward to it.:)
