I have some extra 10/4 Spanish Cedar and I'm also in need of some new outdoor furniture. I would be interested in some websites of quality tables and chairs or plans of the same.
Thanks for any help.

Richard, my wife left the magazine at work (where she saw the table she wants). I'll ask her to bring it home.

I did a series of garden benches of Sp. cedar. The slats are held on with 20d copper nails and roves, treated as rivets. they have weathered nicely, and aren't difficult. Just a thought for a design/ornamentation option.

Here's one for cedar that has a lot of examples you might want to build.

Hi Richard, This is the first time I've tried to send pictures. My daughter had to do it for me.

This is a bench I made from old Western Red Cedar fencing. This is it's 3rd season so it is showing a nice color. I just sand it and apply a single coat deck sealer and it stays this color all season. The fences were from the late 40's so this old growth cedar has a lot of color. The old nail holes and other blemishes give a nice rustic look. The arms are strong enough to to hold at least one icey Fat Tire Ale. Good luck, JCB.

I just received the latest issue of WOOD Magazine and they have plans for a nice garden bench with variations for a sette and a chair. It looks nice.

I have a bunch of leftover 5/4 Mahogany (from a deck restoration at Wesleyan University - pretty nice stuff) that is eventually going to end up as some patio furniture so I'll be watching this thread with interest.

Richard ~

If you give me some idea of the type & style of pieces you're thinking about I'll photocopy & mail whatever plans I have floating around that may be of interest to you.

In peace, Todd

Richard, here is another good site that might give you some ideas for your furniture. I actually bought some tables from there. They have many different types and styles of furniture. Hope this helps you!
