Walnut Bottle Stopper

Well I had a shop day yesterday got some small flat work projects done, this stopper and killed 2 bowls :mad: .

Did you at least LEARN something from the blow-ups?

If so, all is not lost. We ALL have blowups now and then and have to remember what we did wrong, so it doesn't happen too many times.

I said killed not injured. I went through the bottom of one cause I did not take the hole I had turned in the bottom to chuck it into account when measureing my depth. The other piece had a bunch of cracks in the wood and split in half when I had a catch. I did learn that I was smart wearing my face shield since one of the halfs bounced of my shield.

I like the shape you chosen for this bottle stopper Mike. It's conservative and classy. It would make piece#1 of a very cool set! :)
