First try at bottle stoppers, first spin with new Jet Mini

Boy that little lathe is fun :) I could get used to making these stoppers. 20 minutes each, from block to buffed.

Lighter wood is ash. I think the darker wood is padauk. Except for the far left one, all are sanded to 400. The one on the far left is directly from the gouge; no sanding. It was my test piece, and I was way too lazy to sand ;) Finish is just Beall buffed.

The VS model. It was on sale at Amazon more cheaply than the standard model. Who could say no? :)

Nice shapes on the middle 3 I am printing a picture of them now since I was planning on making a couple this week end. Not crazy about the ones on the ends but taste is subjective.
