Turned these as gifts for the ladies here at work for Secretary's day. I'm late, but they didn't mind waiting. It was my first foray into turning boxes and was very enjoyable.

Excellent work, those are beautiful boxes. What are the wood and dimension of the various ones and what finish did you use. If these are your first turned boxes then that is incredible. Nice work!

Yeah Bruce, I realized after I posted the pics that they probably belonged on the turner's forum but what the heck! Glad you liked em.

The three cherry boxes are about 5" in dia x 2 1/2" tall, one maple box is close to that as well, the maple box with the walnut handle is 4" x 3", and the walnut boxes are all about 2 1/4" dia x 3" tall. The finish is 3 coats of Watco danish oil, two coats of satin spar urethane, and a coat of wax.
