View Full Version : Thinking outside the box--prickly pear cactus pen!

I decided to think outside the box a little and come up with something unique. We have lots of prickly pear cactus around here and the skeleton inside is unique but not really useable. I decide to make a pen out of it. I took the skeleton and cut into blank size and then made a mold. I inserted the skeleton and filled up the mold with blue dyed epoxy.

Here is the pen that came out as a result:

The prop is a section of the skeleton the pen is made from.

Thanks for looking!

I can't add anything to what's already been said except to reiterate how innovative and eye-catching it is.

I think you have a winner there.
