Not to steal Dick Pars thunder! Not that I could even come close!
Just found it odd that yesterday I decided to go and grab some sweetgum that was on the ground about a year now on side of the road. It was all either to large to carry or to small to turn. So I found a 10" limb I could carry and brought it home. I was surprised and will be getting the rest of it this week. Will call the owner and see if I can cut up the tree. (I am sure I can)
Here is roughed out 5" dia bowl. Just amazed!

It's pretty soft and is going to be a bear to turn. Just hoping some of the other is similarly spalted and not as close to rotten.
