Apparently you have no issues at all with remembering. Excellent box!!! I especially like the top, sides, front, and handle.:D But then that's all I can see in the photos.:D :D

That's a handsome little box. The bookmatch on the top looks very good.

I definitely like the bookmatch spalted maple very much.

Nice job there!

Hi Lee,
Very nicely done. What type of joinery did you use between the top and sides. I have a ton of 3/8"x11" spalted maple that I have made boxes with using a dadoed groove in the sides and a rabbetted edge on the top panels. This has worked well so far and was wondering if you have any other techique to try. Thanks for sharing you art with us. JCB.

Very nice job Lee. Very clean, simple lines...all the better to show off the sweet figure in the top.

Of course, I guess it's not "art" because you used devices that were more sophisticated than a river rock, but it's very pretty nonetheless. ;)

Ducking and running for cover...

Lee,
As always, very finely crafted work.

What I most like about the bookmatched maple of the lid is that it is not symmetrical!

Beautiful.

I say "pseudo" because the box sides are two layers: the rabbet is formed by the inner shell of the box being shorter than the outer shell. (Bottom works the same way.)
