Yea....I need a 1-1/4" wrench OR I need a 1-1/4" Deep Well Socket. Anybody know where I can get one that on the "cheap"? It's only needed for making adjustments to tooling and will never be used for high torque applications.

Even an old rusty wrench will work....if....it's the right size.

Advice is always welcome.

TSC has 'em, and so does Farm Supply... don't remember the price on 'em, but the wrenches are there. Don't know about the sockets.

Have you tried a Pawn Shop? I notice pawn shops near casinos are usually well stocked. Wonder why.

Yard Sale - Tag Sale - Garage Sale, whatever they're called in your neck of the woods. You can probably find one for a buck.

I don't know about the "deep" part, but I needed a 1 3/8" socket for removing/installing the blades on my mower deck and found it at...Sears. One of the few things I've bought there in the past x years...

Hi Dennis,

Try an auto parts store with a tool loan program if it is a one time use or very infrequently. If you need it right away Sears will probably be the cheapest place for a non TIA-CHI wrech or socket.

One warning:
Craftsman hand tools- USA
Sears/Champion- TIA-CHI

Let me dig around. I may have an extra.

On another note, back long ago when I was a pup working in a truck shop, I needed a extra long 3/4 deep socket I couldn't afford.
I took a regular socket to the cut off saw, cut it in half, got a piece of pipe about the same size, o.d., cut a chunk of that off, then welded the pipe in the center of the socket, extending it.
I still have that socket somewhere I think.

Sounds like it is about the same size as a spark plug deep well socket.

www.mcmaster-carr.com (http://www.mcmaster-carr.com) has all kinds of stuff but you may not like the price nor delivery time if you need it semi-ASAP
