Hi all
I've been here for quite a while. Watching and learning. I've been turning small items for about 3 years now mainly doing craft shows and small time retail sales. I'm having a great time and lots of fun. If you don't believe me ask John Hart. He visited the shop and I hope to see him again some day soon. So Tyler is happy I hope to post a picture of a pen turned and engraved for my son.

Nice pen Ken!! Is that an acrylic material? Looks to be a cigar kit without a clip, did you leave that off or is it on the back side? I like it. I enjoy making the pens myself.

Corey
it is black acrylic and the clip is on the back side.
I've turned a few hundred pens so far with about 150+
for the freedom pen project

Very, very nice. But then if you've done a "few" hundred.... it SHOULD look nice :D
One question. how was the engraving done???

I can speak to Ken's engraving....I am thoroughly impressed. He does it the old fashioned way with engraving templates. It was a treat to see his setup.
Nice looking pen Ken. The one you did for me has an honored place on my desk in my office.:)

thanks all of you for looking and commenting. A laser engraver is out due to cost. It limits you in some ways but the cost is less.
have a great day
