cypress flooring question

I’ve just finished laying about 1800 sq/ft of 5” wide cypress flooring. I know an oil base finish would amber-up the color. I however would like to keep the light color of the wood and not obscure the figure. Would a water-based poly be a good choice? Someone recommended Waterlox but it’s oil based.

I also put cypress for the porch decking. I used Cabot clear deck finish oil based. It looks good but it evened out the grain and figure in the wood.
