Don't know if this qualifies as a bowl or if it is considered a vase but who cares! I finally got one completed start to finish. It is sweetgum end grain turned. It is 5 1/2" accross and 4 1/2" high. What a RUSH! Well, let me know what you think and if any improvements could be made. Thanks for the help.

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET, Chris. The only thing I see is the grove at the bottom. That will go away with practice. I can't remember how many of mine had it, till I got it right.

You can be proud it the effort AND the Results!

Bruce Thanks for the coaching Bruce; I'll work on that more in the next one. Everyone else, thanks for the encouragement.

Well, I guess if you put flowers in t, it's a vase and if you put munchins in it, it's a bowl. Looks good for either Christopher.

Christopher like Ernie said whatever you put in it. It is a mighty fine looking vase to me though. Nice work.

Very nice Chris.
Isn't it a shame that the wood finishes so well but the little balls are such a pain in the rear to pick up.

Looks like a spitoon to me. But I love it. Great grain in the wood and good form.
