Lidded Box

This is a small lidded box from "yard wood". Not sure what kind it is. Was good practice for the thin lipped lid 1/16". Also, still getting used to this camera.

I really like the box Chris. I think your lid and finial look kewl. Nice job and whatever that "yardwood" is it looks great. Maybe some locust or Elm?

Those finely incised lines on either side of the lid edge are both pleasing and misleading! At first glance I thought all three of those lines were ornamental, and that the lid came down only as far as the base of the finial.
