Just a Little Project for the Wife

This is a project that came about because my wife likes to drink coke out of the cans. The problem is they produce condensation and get knocked over easily. The solution a Coaster/Holder out of Live Oak. I know it isn't much but I really had fun finishing this one. I used 4 coats of BLO, sanded and steel wooled in between with two coats of Polly wipe-on, steel wooled with fine to take off the sheen and a coat of wax mix containing Beeswax, Carnauba and Orange oil. The camera really did not do justice.

Pretty cool. And invisible coaster. Now that is a REALLY THIN turning! :D

Is that some of that clear wood finish you put on it? Cause it is to clear. Better buff it a little:)

hi chris,

you can delete a post to a thread but i don't believe you can delete the original post of a thread as it would delete all the subsequent postings in that thread - hope that makes sense.

still can't see your project - so just keep trying here:)
