If you would like to publish an Article here at SawMill Creek there are two ways for you to get your article posted.

1- Use any forum and post your article as you would any other message, include a sentence at the end requesting that your message be moved to the Articles Forum or send me a private message with a link to your post. We will take your message and any pictures you have included and post it in the permanent Articles Forum.
This procedure works for short to medium articles as there is a 10,000 character limit on all forum posts.

2- You can create your article in HTML (web pages) and combine all the files into one zip file and email the file to webmaster@sawmillcreek.org, we will place your web pages in the Articles Forum. This is the preferred method and there are no limits to your article size or the number of pictures that you can include.

Note that all Articles are kept in a sub directory on our local drive and served to the Web via our Apache web server. This is done outside of our forum software. We use the Articles Forum to create a message documenting every Article, this way everyone can use the search feature to find articles when the list becomes very long. If you are going to take the time to contribute your talent and expertise we will make sure that your Article remains accessible for all woodworkers to enjoy.

We encourage everyone to participate by writing articles of interest to the woodworking community. In time as the number of Articles grow we will design a new "Main Menu" page and link to it from the forums area, this will make it easy for everyone to cruise the list of Articles we host.
