Somebody tell me that I made a wise choice.

Just ordered the Grizzly G1067Z lathe. Have not seen one, just tried to match my needs to what specs I was able to get.
Previous lathe was adequate for smaller spindle and some bowl work, but I want to expand my capabilities somewhat.
Will keep SMC posted as to receipt, set-up and evaluation.

Here is a picture of the lathe with specs also. The only thing i was told to do is add a shelf on the cross pieces for sand to make it heavier & have less vibration.

Thanks Chuck. Was plannin' on that already. Have done that to my existing lathe and it really helps.

I think you did fine Bill. Like Chuck said make a shelf and load it down with sand bags. A friend of mine in New Mexico got one like you ordered and he likes it real well. The last time I talked with him he had no complaints.
