Keith,

That is one beautiful pen. I can certainly see why they awarded you the job.

Keith, beautiful pen. Some folks refer to amboyna as the "Cadillac of burls".

Thanks Bernie ! Truth be told though. There is not a speck of finish on this pen. NOT one. Sanded to 12000 micromesh.

That is really nice Keith. Where do you get something as small as a pen engraved? A co worker of my wife wanted to get a couple of pens engraved with her husbands name on them for a gift when he graduates from college. We used a creeker to engrave some panels for our American Legion bar project, but the panels were about 16 x 28.

Steve, I don't know where Kevin get's his engraving done but go to
http://www.kallenshaanwoods.com (http://www.kallenshaanwoods.com)
Ken Nelsen is a well known engraver specializing in pens and he is well known amongst the pen turnering forums. He is located in Las Vegas but people all over the place send him stuff to engrave.

Keith, very nice pen. I think you should check with your engraver before sending parts to him, because he probably wants the blanks already finished. Also, he will probably want the blanks unassembled.
Ken can provide you nice boxes if you wish, also engraved with your choice of picture. He's done work for me, and did a great job.
Keep up the good work.

Corey,

I've been here. Just been so busy haven't posted much. More to come I promise.

Steve,

I am going to give kallenshaan my business on this set.

Joe,

Good point, this is the prototype for the customer, the finals will be the ones sent to the engraver. These pens will require a delicate touch, there is not much wood left on the pen when it is done.
