I am looking for a nice plan for a Tressel/Trestle table for our kitchen....not sure of the correct spelling, seems that both
spellings are used on the internet. What hoping to use some Curly Maple, or perhaps some Quilted Maple. For six people; one person with leg space on each end. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Phil

I don't have any links, but I took ideas from a book my father gave me which is called "Colonial Furniture Making for Everybody." Again, I used it for ideas as they had about 4-5 different style trestle tables in it. I made a dovetail fitting for the legs which make them detachable from the top, and a simple wedge pins hold the stretcher to the legs. I made mine out of wormy maple w/ walnut breadboard ends and it seats 10 comforatably.

I am in the same boat as you. I have been looking for trestle table ideas. There are quite a few on this web site.

Hi, I made this trestle for a client with reference to the FWW April 2000 no. 141...it helped a lot, especially with the BB ends.
