Well, the Pecan bowl that I roughed out will be dry enough to finish turn by the week after I'm oncall. I've considered a continuation of the rough-out post I did a while back to show the rest of what I do to finish turn, sand, and apply a finish to a bowl. Now....remember, I'm no expert, but am willing to share how I do things in order to make an attempt to help others who are just starting out.
So whatcha'll think?? :D

Yup...me too. The whole bowl processing article is extremely helpful. SMC really needs a good clear place where folks can see a step-by-step. Get Typing!!!!:D

What I think is that if you don't, you will have many disappointed friends wishing you had. :(
Now.... like you have already been instructed.... Get to work :)

I for one will be looking forward to your article. Being a rookie turner, I've learned a whole bunch here at the Creek.
Thanks for your effort.

Sounds like a great idea, but only if you include lots of pics, easier for me to understand it that way...... :o

I would like to see you get a webcam setup so we can watch you do what you do.
Does anyone know of any good webcams in woodworking shops?
Dennis can be the first!

Sure makes everything lots easier to understand when you see pictures. I have read many articles about alky baths but I got much more out of your tutorial than all of them put together and in a fraction of the time. I sure do appreciate the time you put into it and would very much look forward to a continuation.
Thanks again for taking the time to do it.

Dennis,
I'm waiting, not very patiently, but the pictures on the rough out sure helped. That very evening I had turned a pair of 1 day old green cuttings and i stuck them in some alky. We use your lessons immediately.

Come on Dennis! Get with the program, man! Been an hour already - so where is it?
I gotta pee, but I don't wanna miss out on the chance to be the first to slam it when it shows up.
