Here is another project I just finished. It's a "tack" cabinet I designed to hold dog grooming stuff. It's walnut and tiger maple. It measures 30" tall X 19" wide X 9" deep. I will be donating it for a silent auction in June to raise money for Newfoundland Dog Rescue.

Guy,

Spectacular! They are a great breed, I use to work at a rescue for mastiffs, love the big breeds. This should help bring in the kibbles and bits by the ton. Did you use the Incra system on the side dovetails?

Yes, I did. I LOVE that thing! It makes doing jointery fun!
I posted the pictures on Newf Net. It's a forum like this, only for Newfoundlands. We have a nation-wide get together every year, and this years is in June. Last year, I made a walnut and maple blanket chest with a Newfie inlaid in the front. The lady that won it is already telling everyone tht this is hers too! Problem is, she wants me to inlay a Newf in each door, and I just don't have the heart to put anything in that tiger maple.

Great job Guy, for a great cause. I could tell right away that you'd been playing with the Incra, and it worked out really well. That's some sweet maple, too.

Absolutely beautiful. I am continually humbled on this forum. As many have said, great cause and fantastic work. One of these days I will play around with dovetails and try to make joinery that pops like that. Love the choice of wood too.

It's actually from a bundle of veneer I picked up at the WW show in St. Louis. I just used baltic birch ply as the substrate.

The jointery and selection of wood are fantastic.

I love the use of beautiful woods, I wouldn't inlay either.
