Have you ever seen a Powermatic 68 table saw?
Would you recommend it?

the ol` 14" 7 1/2hp, 1/4 acre of cast iron saw? naw ain`t good for much other than an ozark boat anchor. send it this direction and i`ll properly dispose of it for you.:)
actually they`re pretty tough ol` saws made in usa right down the road from you, off the shelf arbor bearings and wmh stocks parts still...02 tod

So what's the difference between a PM 68 and a PM 72A?

I think that the PM 68 was a 12" TS, while the PM 72 is a 14" TS. I think the 68 was not made for too long, but am not sure. Also, the fence on the 68 might not be of the more modern "T-square" type, unless replaced. I owned one of these for a short time, but only long enough to sell it as it was part of an estate I bought, and I did not have need, or room, for the 68. The fellow who has it now is quite happy with it; I see him from time to time.
