I am helping a neighbor friend with a couple of projects. The projects involve glueing materials to a wood base and to each other. What glue should I use to glue for:

1. A rubberized sheet of material glued to a wood base.

2. A 1/4" thick foam sheet glued to a wood base.

3. A felt sheet glued to the foam above.

4. A thin plastic sheet imprinted with a design glued to the foam above.

Thanks for your help.

Dave in such applications I've used one of the 3-M spray on adhesives successfully.........At the Borgs they have several different 3-M spray adhesives available for different applications. I used these 5-6 years ago and don't have the can available to get the number off it.

3M 77 is the big can. About 10 bucks +/- and it is great for foam, fabric and the like.

I use it regularly for sticking foam to wood when I build poker tables.

The one shown is 42x90 and the entire center is 1/4 volara foam. Short of contact adhesive and a dedicated spray gun I can't think of a faster way to do it.

Jim - That is a great site and I have seen it in the past. However, it does not include foam in the list of materials. It does list styrofoam, but 5that is not the type of foam I'm using. It sounds like 3M 77 will do the job, as recommended by Joe, below.
