Hi:
Has anyone used the Vicmarc brand of lath chucks? How do they compare to the other brands?
Thanks,

I have the Vicmark 120 and about half the members of my turners club have them, those club members recommended it to me. I prefer the dove tail recesses and tenons over the straight sided ones like the Oneway. It just seems like a stronger hold on the piece. I only use it on the larger pieces, on the small pieces I use my nova midi chuck, it uses a dove tail too.

I can't compare it to others, but I have had mine several years without any complaints. Heavy, solid built and smooth operating.

I've used my friends Vicmark and it is a nice chuck. As far as I know it is highly regarded by many turners.
