Greetings..!!!!

Terry Quiram gave me a chunk of mahogany a few year back that came from the Catapiller plant where he works. It looked to be some kind of form or jig for a big machine part or somthing. Anyway....it's a glueup of mahogany pieces, I have Mark Cothren part of it and I kept the other and here's what I found inside that old beatup block of wood.

This is a totally new shape and style for me, but....the LOML has fallen in love with this "thang" and has it sitting on the headboard of our bed.  :D

Ken,

Yes...the way this was glued up and the way I mounted it, it is an endgrain bowl, and Yes, it took a while to sand it to where I was happy with it. :D

Well Jim, you have to remember that I have 4 children and one of them is a soon-to-be-15-year-old who also needs the occassional chocolate satisfaction. Keeping the LOML's stash in that bowl, in the open? Wouldn't last 2 days around my house.  ;)

Wow, from tree giving oxygen to a jig in a factory to a gorgeous form! You've given that hunk 'o wood a third live!!! :) Great job, Dennis and I can easily see how the LOYL would put it in a place where she can enjoy it twice every single day! :)
