Congratulations to Mike Ramsey!!!

Today I picked up something at Mike's work. While there, I asked the guard if she knew him and she didn't even have to think about it. Right off the bat she told me " Oh yes, he maintains all the computers and alarms and stuff. He is really smart". Then she went on to tell me about his wood work and how beautiful it is.

The company he works for, which probably has a few thousand employees, just had some sort of craft contest which Mike apparently entered... I don't know the exact details of this, but Mike did bring some of his turnings according to the seamstress( her entries) guard. All the employees voted and Mike won the PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD for his work.

Way to go Mike!!.... So let's see the stuff.:D

Ernie you know this is the second time you have blown my mind!!
If you had let me know you were coming to the plant I would
have left a big chunk of spalted Eucalyptus for you at the gate!!
I entered a few things into the "On My Own Time" art contest
at the urging (nagging) of a very sweet lady with the Cultural
Council of Victoria, who also sponsored the contest. I entered
the stuff a day late in the contest but it did pretty well, Wed
I won 1st place in the wooden art catagory, then The CCV voted it
best of show, But the one I'm really proud of is the Peoples
Choice that was voted on by all the employees on Thursday.
The picture isn't to good but I'll post it anyway.
Included was a spalted Hackberry Vase & an enclosed form,
A Maple bowl & a Maple Box , the Maple is from a care package
a year ago from John Hart, an Elm box & assorted pens & pencils.

Wow Mike, I see why you won. That's some real nice work. You've been holding out on us, but we have our ways ha ha ha hee hee hee.

Hey, if I'd known before this morning that I was coming, I'd have let you know... for sure with the offer you just made.:D I didn't find out until about 0900 that I would be down there and I was in Sealy at the time.
